Blue Diamond Growers, the world’s leading almond marketer and processor, today announced a partnership with the Big Ten Conference and the Big Ten Network to become the “Official Snack of the Big Ten Conference.”

Following Blue Diamond Growers’ annual meeting in November, the almond co-op announced its new Board of Directors. Dan Cummings, a third-generation almond farmer from Chico, stepped down as Chairman of the Board and will finish out his term this year as his last on the Board. Cummings’ family joined Blue Diamond Growers in the 1920s. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006 and has served as the Chairman of the Board since 2014.

At the 113^th Blue Diamond Growers “Growing Together” Annual Meeting on Nov. 15 in Modesto, Blue Diamond Growers’ CEO, Kai Bockmann, reflected on his first ten months in the leadership role by acknowledging significant challenges faced by growers and the world’s largest almond cooperative.

Blue Diamond Growers, a grower-owned almond cooperative, applauds United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) announcement of the Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP), which will provide much needed investment in U.S. agricultural export promotion initiatives with direct benefits to California almonds.  Nearly 70 percent of California almonds are exported worldwide.

Blue Diamond Growers Foundation is pleased to announce its 2023-2024 scholarship recipients. This year, scholarship funding is being awarded to 25 college students who are either dependents of Blue Diamond employees or are members of local communities who are pursuing agriculture-related fields of study at colleges and universities in California and throughout the country.
