Over time we receive many questions from all over the world requesting information about Almond products and our business. Below is a collection of the most 'Frequently Asked Questions' we have received which pertain to our many Industrial products and the many aspects of our Industrial business. If you cannot find an answer here, please feel free to send us your question, ('Request More Information' from the menu at the right). We will do our best to satisfy your request.

  1. How many almonds kernels are in a pound? What is Count Per Ounce? What is CPO?

Whole raw almonds are sized by count per ounce [CPO]. For almonds that are sized and graded there will be a size listing on the side of the box, "Calif SSR 25/27". To determine how many almonds are in a pound from looking at the item designation, multiply the average CPO [26 in our example] by 16. In our example of 25/27, you could expect on average to see 416 kernels per pound [26 x 16= 416].
