Douglas D. Youngdahl, President and Chief Executive Officer

Douglas D. Youngdahl, President and CEO of Blue Diamond Growers

Mr. Youngdahl was raised on farms in both Iowa and Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota, where he received a B.A. in Economics in 1968. After serving in the U.S. Army, he was employed by the Pillsbury Company from 1970 to 1978 after which he became the co-owner and general manager of Paradise Modular Concepts, Inc., Paradise, California. In 1985 Mr. Youngdahl became general manager of Chutzpah Inc., a snack food company located in Chico, California. In 1988 he was employed by the Chico Nut Company, serving as President and Chief Financial Officer. He joined Blue Diamond Growers as Director of Special Projects in 1997 and was made the Director of the Americas Industrial Business Unit in January 2000. He was responsible for developing almond, hazelnut and macadamia sales and support strategies for the Americas customers. Mr. Youngdahl was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Diamond Growers in October 2000 and assumed his responsibilities February 1, 2001.

Robert S. Donovan, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Donovan was born in Belleville, Illinois in 1962. He attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1985. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Donovan joined Blue Diamond Growers in 1991 after four years with the tax department of KPMG LLP and 1 ½ years with the audit department of Price Waterhouse. He assumed his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer in September 2001.
