Charitable Funding Guidelines

History

Blue Diamond® has historically demonstrated its commitment to charitable organizations and projects in our immediate neighborhood. Blue Diamond® Growers Corporate Contribution Program is focused on three primary priorities, which are listed below. In addition, Blue Diamond® Growers concentrates its efforts on our immediate neighborhood. It is our belief that in doing so, the impact of our support will be maximized to the greater good of our community.

Specific Funding Priorities

Of primary importance to Blue Diamond® Growers, is the development and investment in our neighborhood's youth. We believe that while parents have the primary responsibility for the youth of our community, businesses have a social responsibility to provide our youth with the skills, resources, and opportunities, which allow them to develop into fruitful members of our society. Blue Diamond's® Growers also places a high priority on those issues and activities that affect the quality of life and safety of our surrounding neighbors.

Specific Geographic Region Funded

Blue Diamond® Growers has defined its "immediate neighborhood" as the area bounded between the American River to the north and J Street to the south, 29th Street to the east, and 12th Street to the west. Occasionally, requests are considered which are outside these boundaries. These are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, with primary scrutiny on the potential impact the program will have on youth.

Funding Criteria

Blue Diamond® Growers will evaluate your request on the basis of your program's ability to address the three priorities identified above. Due to our desire to maximize the impact our funding makes in our community, particular attention will be given to programs that demonstrate direct, repetitive involvement with the youth, rather than those of an administrative or research-orientated nature.

Funding Request

In completing your funding request, please attach information regarding your agency as a whole, and specific information regarding the program you would like funded. Please note that Blue Diamond® does not ordinarily provide charitable funding to agencies as a whole, but rather financial support to specific projects that display potential merit. Please provide a project budget, and if the agency responsible for the project is a non-profit agency, please provide a copy of the 501(c) 3 certificate.

Blue Diamond® Growers' program is fully funded at the beginning of each fiscal year on September 1 to August 31. Requests for funding are kept on file for consideration and are considered in June of each year.

Thank you again for your funding request. Best wishes in your endeavor.
